


Undergraduate Admisions
The Mathematics programme is designed to provide a strong educational foundation in Mathematics for students, who upon graduation can readily provide specialized skills at the middle-management level of business as well as non-profit making organizations, may set-up and run their own small businesses, or may pursue graduate degrees in Mathematics, Statistics and allied Science programmes.
Entry Requiremnts
(a) Senior Secondary School (SSS) Applicants
(i) Passes in THREE core subjects which must be English, Integrated Science and Mathematics, and
(ii) Passes in THREE Elective subjects which must be Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/Biology.
(b) Advanced Level/Mature Applicants:
(i) GCE A’ Level holders must have four (4) passes in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and General Paper. In addition, they must have at least five (5) GCE O’ Level credits including English, Mathematics and Additional Mathematics.
(ii) Matured applicants must be at least 30 years with at least five years working experience. In addition, they must have at least five (5) GCE O’ Level credits including English, Mathematics and Additional Mathematics or six (6) SSCE passes including the subjects listed in (a).
(iii) All applicants in both (i) and (ii) would be expected to pass an entry written and oral interview.
Requirement for Graduation Mathematics students will be assessed through continuous assessments and end of semester examinations. Candidates must pass all core courses, achieve a cumulative average of not less than 45 percent and obtain at least 140 credits.
